We went to the East Meets West Confrence yesterday held by our agency. In the morning was kind of stressful so guess what we found a bar. It put us a little more at ease with all the info that we had thrown at us. Some good some bad. But all in all it will probably a total of 3 years before we get Baby China and Joe and Julie's little Kaitlyn. We came to terms with that.
Putting our stress aside we had a really good time with our friends Joe and Julie. We couldn't get over all the newbies to adoption that were there and thought they were all crazy for just starting. If we were in their shoes we would not be doing this at all. This wait has been the most stressful time in our lives and I can't believe there are more people who want to get on this ride. CRAZY!!!

We were at East Meets West, too. If your LOI was the same, you were there stressing same as us. Did you have your referral that weekend? We met with Dr. Ochs and he really helped put our mind at ease about some things and raised questions about others.
We are LID 4-4-07, so our paperwork had not yet hit review, yet. I don't know if that will slow us down or not. There is another couple out of Colorado with CCAI that received their referral 4-17-08 (same as us) and their PA 4-26-08 (same as us) and their PA 5-1-08 (yesterday!!). We emailed this morning and figured maybe it was so quick for them because they were LID in December 06 and had just got out of review room. Does it take them that long to find the paperwork? :)
Anyhow, we are learning the process is varying despite your LOI and PA. But it would be neat to travel together, maybe to Beijing and/or in Guanzhou.
